Cleaning
We have a variety of equipment to clean and abrade the surface of metals to achieve
a suitable surface for bonding.
Bonding agent
Bonding agent is applied to the metal surface using a variety of methods including spraying, brushing and dipping.
Curing
The bonding agent is cured to the substrate at the required temperature, ensuring a long lasting bond between substrate and rubber.
Bromleys began its journey in 1984, established by brothers Len and Fred Davies in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. Initially focused on trimming and inspecting rubber parts, the company quickly adapted to specialise in rubber bonding solutions. Rapid expansion led to a move to Bruntingthorpe in 1992, followed by acquisition by Harboro Enterprises in 2002. By 2009 Bromleys attained ISO 9001 certification – a globally recognised standard for quality management which ensures that we deliver a consistently high, cost-effective, and timely service.
In 2012 relocation to a purpose-built factory in Kibworth, Leicestershire, helped improve working practices and brought further growth, including the 2022 installation of a mezzanine floor for automated spray machinery. As well as a focus on business growth and innovation, Bromleys is committed to its environmental responsibility, introducing no Lead bonding agents in 2013 and the continued prioritisation of reducing harmful chemicals within our processes.
